Job Description:
Good Samaritan Health Center seeks a dedicated and compassionate
Lead Medication Assistant, Certified (LMAC) to join our team in
providing high-quality, holistic health services to our long-term
care residents. Located in a supportive community-centered
environment, we strive to offer top-tier wellness solutions,
focusing intently on the well-being and dignity of each patient. In
this role, you will be entrusted with the administration of
medications as well as playing a pivotal leadership role ensuring
compliance with our health care practices, and function as a key
communicator between residents, families, and our healthcare team.
Administer daily medications and treatments to long-term care
residents accurately and timely, following physician orders and
nursing protocols. Record and update patient medication profiles
and treatment plans. Supervise and mentor a team of medication
assistants and support staff to ensure quality care standards and
compliance with safety regulations. Communicate clearly and
compassionately with residents, family members, and the healthcare
team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Manage medication
inventory and ensure the secure storage of prescription drugs and
controlled substances. Lead quality assurance audits, and implement
improvement measures related to medication administration and care
procedures. Proven knowledge of pharmacological processes and
medication administration for various patient needs Strong
leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate staff
Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence to
effectively engage with patients, families, and team members
Detail-oriented with robust organizational skills to handle records
