ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Turtle Lake, North Dakota. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts: Day shift 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or Night shift 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM • Night shift workers are first to float and work every other weekend • Rotating holiday schedule - alternating/every other holiday • No call or standby requirements • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC • 2 years of nursing experience required, previous travel experience not required • Work with EPIC EMR system • Maintain 1:8 nurse-to-patient ratio utilizing team nursing approach • Float between ER/Med Surg units as needed • Provide care for dementia patients, dependent older adults, diabetes management, rehab/restorative care, IV medications, blood administration, wound care, and initial trauma care • Required to titrate drips including electrolytes, hypertensive medications, IV antibiotics, and blood transfusions • Must read and interpret telemetry strips • Work with nurse aides/CNAs on each shift • Manage patient CPAP equipment • Scrubs required, no specific color requirements • 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided • Block scheduling possible upon request Facility: This critical access hospital serves a rural community with 25 beds and provides comprehensive emergency and medical-surgical services.
