Job Description:

Starting at $17.50 /hr. with $1/hr. shift premium from 6 pm - 6 am. The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the master sanitation schedule is met within the cheese production area. Provide assistance to department supervisors, leads and cross-functional teams. Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform all work safely according to company standards (use of lockout/tagout when required). - Monitor operation of the cheese tables and assist with finishing production if needed. - Maintain appearance of cheese table area (floors free of cheese, etc). - Must inspect all equipment to make sure it is clean and free of cheese. - Maintain and complete Master Sanitation schedules. - Communicate any unsafe condition immediately. - Maintain a neat and orderly production area, including floors, walls, pipes, CIP tanks and etc. - Cleaning and sanitizing cheese production area including - All cheese tables - Floor and drains - Wall and ceiling - Pipes - CIP tanks - Communicate well with Supervisors and Plant Manager, both verbal and written. - Good working knowledge of cheese tables and associated equipment. - Good understanding of sanitation. - Chemical testing. - Able to operate/drive a forklift - Able to operate a floor scrubber - Good safety and quality habits. - Good organizational skills. - Desire to work as a team with employees throughout the plant. - Highly self-motivated. - Be able to lift 50 lbs. - Must be able to stand for long periods of time. - Must be able to shovel cheese at numerous times. - Must be trained in all required safety programs. - Must comply with company attendance policy, GMP policy, drug and alcohol policy. - Other duties as assigned by lead sanitation or management.
