Dairy Farmers of America is Hiring Packaging Technicians in Pollock, SD!This position is responsible for the process of handling, packaging, and cleaning up cheese in a production facility. The position would be required to follow good manufacturing practices and safety rules.Top Benefits:

• Earn $17.50 per hour + an additional $1.00 from 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• $1,500 sign-on bonus, receive $500 after 90 days and $1,000 after 1 year
• Entry-level (training available)
• Earn up to 25 paid days off in a calendar year

    • Operation of Towers
    • Operation of Scale
    • Maintain appearance of tower and scale areas during production (floors free of cheese, etc)
    • Communicate with Table Operator, Scale Person, Maintenance and Supervisor
    • Complete documentation associated with the tower and scale process
    • Maintain a neat and orderly production area
    • Cleaning equipment as needed for towers
    • Maintain supply of cardboard sleeves, slip sheets and label/paperwork for scale
    • Tentative shift times are 2 pm-12 am Monday - Thursdays and 12 pm -8 pm on Fridays

      • Good working knowledge of towers, cheese tables and associated equipment
      • Good working knowledge of scale
      • Must be able to handle 40lb. blocks of cheese and 75 lb. pallets
      • Desire to work as a team with employees throughout the plant
      • Good safety and quality habits
      • Must be able to read and write English
