Your Growth OpportunityAs a Survey Technician you will work closely with experienced survey professionals to gain practical on-the-job experience and understanding of KLJ standards.Assists in gathering field data and general surveying under direction of a Survey Crew ChiefAssists with boundary corner recovery and setting corners, field measurements for topographic, boundary and construction surveys, writing stakes and setting hubs, and clears brush for surveysMaintain and prepare equipment for the dayPerform daily jobsite safety inspectionsEnsure compliance with KLJ quality standardsUtilize effective written and oral communicationWhat You're Responsible ForBasic understanding of survey methodology and equipmentFollows instructions provided regarding scope of services, budgets and timelinesPerform daily jobsite safety inspectionsDevelop skills necessary for meeting daily survey crew requirementsWhat You'll NeedHigh School diploma or equivalentMust have a valid driver's license and be able to operate motorized vehiclesPreferences:Civil technology degreePrevious survey field experienceHours and TravelThis position requires the individual work 40 or more hours per week. The percentage of time spent in the field and office will vary.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
