  Responsibilities
  
  • 
    
  • Consistently keeps assigned Operating Room clean and orderly, supplies and equipment are returned to proper stock points.
    
    
    
    • 
      
    • Maintains assigned Core adequately stocked, not under or over stocking.
      
      
      
      • 
        
      • Communicates with RN accepting and following through on delegated assignments.
        
        
        
        • 
          
        • Provides assistance to physicians, patients, family members, visitors and staff as necessary.
          
          
          
          • 
            
          • Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transports patients appropriately and to correct destination without error.
            
            
            
            • 
              
            • Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.
              
              
              
              • 
                
              • Assists anesthesia care providers with procedures in the preparation of open heart procedures.
                
                Qualifications
                Education: -High School student, graduate or equivalent. - -
                
                Licensure: Must obtain/register on the North Dakota Department of Health Nursing Assistant Registry. - If not registered, then must obtain registration within 4 months of start date.
                
                Experience: Minimum of two (2) years operating room experience, six months at St. Alexius Medical Center Operating Room.
                
                Skills: Ability to organize assignments and work under pressure. Basic Life Support Certification within 480 hours of employment and meets re-certification as required.
