Job Summary As a Host or Hostess at Badlands, your ultimate goal is to make a lasting positive first impression for our guests and to make every guest feel at home when they choose us for their dining experience.
Responsibilities
Welcome all guests to our restaurant in a polite and friendly manner with a smile
Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting list
Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas
Provide menus and announce waiter/waitress name
Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
Collaborate with wait staff on available seating options
Handle complaints or problems with a positive attitude
Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
Answer incoming calls and address guest questions
Assist wait staff as needed
Greet customers upon their departure
Maintain a clean reception area
Qualifications
Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to be flexible in all situations based on business need
Effective communication skills; basic math and reading skills
Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at Badlands
Previous experience in restaurant business
Understanding of restaurant etiquette
Attention to cleanliness and safety
Patience and customer-oriented approach
Friendly attitude & excellent people skills
