Dairy Farmers of America is Hiring Sanitation Technicians in Pollock, SD!

This position is responsible for the process of handling, packaging, and cleaning up cheese in a production facility. The position would be required to follow good manufacturing practices and safety rules.

      Responsibilities:
      
      
      • 
        
      • Perform all work safely according to company standards (use of lockout/tagout when required)
        
      • Monitor operation of the cheese tables and assist with finishing production if needed
        
      • Maintain appearance of cheese table area (floors free of cheese, etc)
        
      • Must inspect all equipment to make sure it is clean and free of cheese
        
      • Maintain and complete Master Sanitation schedules
        
      • Communicate any unsafe condition immediately
        
      • Maintain a neat and orderly production area, including floors, walls, pipes, CIP tanks and etc.
        
      • Cleaning and sanitizing cheese production area including; All cheese tables, Floors and drains, walls and ceilings, pipes , and CIP tanks

        Requirements:
        
        
        • 
          
        • Good working knowledge of towers, cheese tables and associated equipment
          
        • Good working knowledge of scale
          
        • Must be able to handle 40lb. blocks of cheese and 75 lb. pallets
          
        • Desire to work as a team with employees throughout the plant
          
        • Good safety and quality habits
          
        • Must be able to read and write English
