About the Academic Records Office:

The Academic Records office is dedicated to ethical and professional values in all areas such as maintaining accuracy, integrity, and privacy of student records. Partnering in the educational process and supporting both academic progress and student retention. Staffed with highly qualified personnel who constantly monitor office practices, procedures, and recommend changes to ensure the most efficient and prompt service and strive toward continually improving and adding innovative technology to services, encouraging staff toward collaboration and creativity as well as personal and professional growth.

What Does the Academic Records Department Do?

We organize new and current student registration, process registration overrides, program changes and bio-demo changes, issue enrollment verifications/transcripts, evaluate and record transfer course credits, process grades and withdraws, maintain automated degree plans, conduct pre-evaluation of degrees, confirm, and award degrees, and maintain academic catalog.

Position Description & Details

Summary of Position/Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordinating and maintaining all campus grading functions (Final Grades; Incompletes; Repeats; Grade Changes; President Honor Roll; Academic Standing; Academic Forgiveness; Cumulative and Institutional GPA). Responsible for entering transcript evaluations and non-traditional credit into the CampusConnection Student Information System. Responsible for the processing of withdraws/drops of credits. Reporting Relationship:

Is directly accountable and responsible to the Director of Academic Records and Registrar.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Continuously - 66-100% - Use hands dexterously, talk or hear.
  • Frequently - 34-66% - Stand, walk, or sit, reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally - 1-33% - Stoop/kneel/crouch or crawl, climb or balance, or lift to 25 pounds.

    Minimum Requirements

  • Appropriate bachelor's degree.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate well with a variety of people.
  • Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to show flexibility in response to change and adapt to and accommodate new methods and procedures.
  • Good working ability and knowledge of computer software programs (Word, Excel, Access), electronic email and calendar and strong internet familiarity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a comparable position in higher education.
  • Experience in and understanding of PeopleSoft software.
  • Experience using electronic imaging system.
