hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison,

Informaticist applies clinical and informatics knowledge and
expertise, critical thinking, and leadership skills to facilitate a
multidisciplinary approach to promote quality care. The
position works collaboratively with diverse teams (i.e. Operations,
Information Technology, Epic AMS, etc) at multiple levels of the
organization to achieve the system objectives. In addition, the
position assists the customer in areas of evaluating, planning, and
implementing strategies for the EMR along with other
applications. The position may be responsible for performing
the planning, development, and testing of new Epic functionality to
include the technical build. The position may also provide
application training and coordination as well as support end users
during Implementation and Go-Live events via on-site and remote
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Leads system analysis,
design, implementation and evaluation of clinical applications.
Leads customer acceptance level testing of new or enhanced software
prior to productive use. Assist with implementation efforts related
to organizational needs including workflow process integration.
Coordinates evaluation of new technology devices, testing of device
utilization and provides training and support of workflow
incorporating new device.
- Leads assigned informatics
projects such as: new EMR functionality, creating or adjusting
workflows with the EMR. Leads and coordinates EMR optimization
activities and adheres to prescribed methodologies for new requests
and change management.
- Provides online virtual or
instructor led classes for new hires as well as new or enhanced
software functionality to impacted staff. Follows educational
materials for training sessions and provides input on
