CHI St. Alexius Health officially announced
the formation of its regional health care system on April 19, 2016.
The system is the largest health care delivery system in central
and western North Dakota and is comprised of a tertiary hospital in
Bismarck, and critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington,
Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and
Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. CHI St.
Alexius Health manages five CAHs in North Dakota - Ashley, Elgin,
Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in

Coordinator. The Team Leader assesses, plans, implements,
evaluates, and supervises patient care on a nursing unit according
to policies and procedures while maintaining standards of the state
Nurse Practice Act. The Team Leader assists in the day to day
planning, organization, and directing. All the criteria-based
duties and standards within this document will be performed
according to the policies, procedures and guidelines of the Medical
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for all

nursing process, including planning, assessment, intervention, and

and current professional literature to achieve positive learning

infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration
and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.

Licensed to practice professional
nursing in the state of North Dakota.
Experience: At least two (2) years clinical experience
within specialty area preferredSkills: Demonstrates ability to organize personnel
assignments and activities for others for the overall benefit of
the unit. Working knowledge of clinical skills in delivery of
patient care. Demonstrates proficiency in unit and the ability to
function efficiently during crisis. Basic Life Support
Certification within 480 hours of employment and meets
re-certification as required.
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership
abilities are necessary because of the constant communications,
both oral and written, with patients, families, visitors, and
medical center staff. Accountable for own conduct and
promotes and supports positive working relationships among staff,
between other disciplines, departments, families, visitors and
patients. Maintains confidentiality
Involves a maximum physical effort requirement of 50 pounds
sometimes. 35 lbs light medium work level with floor to waist
lifting. 50 lbs medium work level with knee to waist
Hours of Work: Days. No nights, no weekends.
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt/Exempt
Works under the following
conditions: potential exposure to mechanical, chemical, electrical
and infectious environmental hazards.
