St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin,
Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in

of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II
Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health
and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness
and human performance center and ancillary services throughout

supervision of the Clinical Coordinator. The RN assesses, plans,
implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care on a
nursing unit according to policies and procedures while maintaining
standards of the State Nurse Practice Act. All the criteria-based
duties and standards within this document will be performed
according to the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the
Medical Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: #missioncritical Education: Nursing degree from
an approved school of nursing. Licensure: Licensed to practice
registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state.
Graduate Nurse (G.N) must practice under the supervision of a
registered nurse while the work authorization to practice is
valid. Skills: Working knowledge of
clinical skills in delivery of patient care. Basic Life Support
Certification within the orientation period and meets
re-certification as required. Interpersonal Skills: Good
communication skills are necessary because of the constant
communication, both oral and written, with patients, families,
visitors, and medical center staff. Accountable for own conduct and
promotes and supports positive working relationships among staff,
between other disciplines, departments, families, visitors, and
patients. Maintains confidentiality. Physical Effort: Safe levels of
physical effort will not exceed: Lifting: (between knuckle and shoulder
height) up to 30 lbs. Carrying: (between hip and shoulder
height for a distance up to 28 feet), up to 40 lbs. Pulling: initial forces up to 50 lbs of
force. Pushing: initial forces up to 45 lbs of
force or sustained forces 15-20 lbs. Hours of Work: Rotating shift
work or straight days, evenings, or nights. Rotating holidays and
weekends. Other: Works under the
following conditions: potential exposure to mechanical, chemical,
and infectious environmental hazards. Able to respond and perform
