The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall planning and design process for major, high profile projects, including those in urban, suburban, and rural areas.POTENTIAL LOCATIONSUtah: Lehi (Salt Lake City)Colorado: Denver, KeystoneNorth Dakota: Grand Forks, Fargo, Watford City, Bismarck, WillistonSouth Dakota: Rapid City, Sioux FallsMinnesota: Maple GroveMontana: Great Falls, Bozeman ResponsibilitiesDesign of major water system pipeline and pipeline facility projects with focus on large diameter pipelines of 60" and greater.Design of unconventional pipe installation, such as directional drilling, jack and bore, micro tunneling, etc.Plan and lead site visits, including the coordination of field investigation work for surveys, utility investigations, environmental delineations, geotechnical investigations, cathodic protection, etc. in support of the pipeline design effort.Serve as the technical expert for large diameter pipeline projects.Develop scope and fee estimates for projects, maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments, and provide technical direction of managed projects.Manage multi-disciplinary resources to deliver high quality projects that meet or exceed clients' expectations.Mentor and provide leadership to less experienced staff.Write or oversee technical reports and specifications.Strive to be an industry leader on pipeline design practices and the direct impact on construction feasibility, site safety, and operations and maintenance requirements.Maintain existing client relationships and develop enhanced relationships with new clients.Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities.Provide quality control and quality assurance on assigned project work.QualificationsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering5+ years of large diameter pipeline design experienceStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development Preferred QualificationsRegistration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months10+ years of large diameter pipeline design experienceAbility to work collaboratively with others and lead teamsExperience with oil and natural gas pipelinesPhysical Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrainAbility to stand or sit for prolonged periods of timeOccasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twistOccasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weightMay require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 poundsAbility to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwearMay require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workloadMay be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of townAE2S is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action EmployerLocationBismarck Office - Bismarck, ND 58501 USBozeman Office - Bozeman, MT 59715 USDenver, CO - Denver, CO USFargo Office - Fargo, ND 58104 USGrand Forks Office - Grand Forks, ND 58201 USGreat Falls Office - Great Falls, MT 59405 USLehi, UT Office - Lehi, UT 84043 US (Primary)Maple Grove Office - Maple Grove, MN 55369 USRapid City Office - Rapid City, SD 57703 USSioux Falls Office - Sioux Falls, SD 57108 USWatford City Office - Watford City, ND 58854 USWilliston Office - Williston, ND 58801 USEducationBachelor DegreeJob TypeFull-time
