Under thesupervision of the Clinic Coordinator, the Clinic Nurse (LPN) assesses, plans,implements and evaluates individual patient care in the clinic according topolicies and procedures.   The clinicnurse assists physicians in clinical duties to ensure patients and familiesreceive the highest quality care and knowledge promoting patient wellness.   The clinic nurse maintains standards of theState Nurse Practice Act. Education: Graduate of a school of nursing. Licensure: Licensed by the North Dakota Board of Nursing Experience: Prefer a minimum of one year clinical or hospital experience. Skills: The Clinic Nurse (LPN) hasknowledge of the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to providepatient care and treatment. Has knowledge of examination, diagnostic andtreatment room procedures. Has knowledge of medications and their effects onpatients. The clinic nurse is skilled in the administration of medications andtreatments as directed and is skilled in taking vitals signs and in the use ofvarious types of equipment used for examination and treatment purposes. Theclinic nurse is able to maintain quality control standards and to recognizeproblems and recommend solutions.   He/shepossesses sufficient computer skills to navigate through multiple programs fordata entry InterpersonalSkills: Musthave theability to react calmly and effectively in an emergency situation. Strong communicationskills are key to this position.   Thisperson is responsible for providing both oral and written communications in anaccurate, clear and concise manner to patients and staff members.   The nurse will maintain a positive andprofessional manner at all times.    He/she will treat coworkers and patients with the utmost courtesy andrespect for their persons and positions.   It is critical that this person has the ability to work effectively withco-workers as a team member.   Mustmaintain patient confidentiality. Physical Effort: Medium.   This positionrequires full range of body motion including handling and moving patients;manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Clinic Nurses arerequired to walk, sit, stand, bend, kneel and stretch and may be standing orwalking for extended periods of time.
