The Senior Field Service Manager will be responsible for the
management of the product line relationship between the Inorganic
Mass Spectrometry product line and commercial operations and
factory. This individual will be responsible for implementing
performance metrics and driving productivity and continuous
improvement, including oversight of the Revenue and CAS goals for
Inorganic Mass Spectrometry Service. The Senior Field Service
Manager will also drive the relationship between field, factory and
commercial operations. Establishes operational objectives and work
plans, and delegates assignments to subordinates. Senior management
reviews objectives to determine success of operation. Involved in
developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect
immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect What
will you do?
- Manage and oversee profitability of Thermo Fisher Scientific
(Instrument and Enterprise Services) Service operations within the
Inorganic Mass Spectrometry Service team while assuming a higher
level of strategic responsibility for the direction of the
Inorganic Mass Spectrometry product line. This includes the
responsibility for problem account management, service revenues,
expenses and customer satisfaction.
- Develop annual cost center budgets and revenue plans and manage
spending to meet AOP targets.
- Manage and direct the activities of all Inorganic Mass
Spectrometry service engineers within the region.
- Manage through the designated account advocates, the national
accounts for service response as well as problem account
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned. How will you get here?
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physical sciences or
chemistry from an accredited institution required. Experience
- 7-10 years' experience managing field service teams, with a
strong background in organizational change, performance
measurements and continuous improvements.
- 3+ years' experience in Inorganic Mass Spectrometry Product
Lines preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Experience managing/leading direct reports, including coaching,
development and performance management.
- A strong financial acumen is highly desired.
- PPI, Six Sigma or Lean training and/or certification is a plus.
