Opportunity:

Physician - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide 24-hour call coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM with hospital rounding for 8 hours
• 
  
• Perform procedures and rounding with flexible scheduling dependent on consultative service patient load
• 
  
• Work solo without another gastroenterologist present during assignment
• 
  
• Handle 1-2 scopes per day in hospital setting
• 
  
• Manage 1-2 new patient consults per day
• 
  
• Round on 5-6 patients per day on average
• 
  
• Perform required procedures including colonoscopy, biopsy, polypectomy, proctoscopy/flexible sigmoidoscopy, hemorrhoidal banding, upper GI endoscopy, PEG, esophageal variceal banding, banding lesions, dilation, and management of acute GI bleeding
• 
  
• ERCP certification highly preferred with 1-2 procedures per week
• 
  
• Manage hospitalized GI patients
• 
  
• Work with RN and CRNA support staff in endoscopy room
• 
  
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system
• 
  
• Board certification in gastroenterology required
• 
  
• BLS and DEA certification required
• 
  
• Clean malpractice history highly preferred
• 
  
• Self-Query NPDB report mandatory at presentation
