Locum Physician Gastroenterology (GI) Bismarck, ND
Coverage dates available starting 12/29 (am) 1/4 (am), with ongoing availability. You ll provide hospital call coverage only with 24-hour shifts (7am 7am), backed by a consistent in-house rounding workflow. What You ll Do

• Provide hospital-based Gastroenterology call coverage only (no clinic responsibilities)
• Perform GI procedures including colonoscopy, biopsy, polypectomy, and endoscopy services
• Manage inpatient GI consults and rounding, including timing dependent on active consult volume
• Provide coverage for acute GI bleed management
• Perform dilation and related therapeutic endoscopy as needed
• Provide endoscopic management including PEG placement and esophageal variceal banding
• Support quality care in a solo locum setting while the GI physician is on assignment (no other GI physician onsite during your coverage)

What You Need
Required

• MD/DO (GI physician)
• Ability to complete credentialing (ideally days when possible)
• Experience performing required GI procedures, including colonoscopy and upper GI endoscopy

Preferred

• ERCP experience/management (noted as highly preferred)
• Familiarity using EPIC (EMR)

About the Assignment
This is a hospital and call coverage only Gastroenterology locum opportunity at a leading facility in Bismarck, ND. Coverage includes 24-hour shifts (7am 7am) with in-house rounding support for approximately 8 hours, and procedure volumes are expected to average around 1 2 scopes per day, with ERCP roughly 1 2 per week (preferred focus). NP support is not included; endoscopy room staffing includes RNs and CRNAs.
