Job Description:
Good Samaritan Health Center is seeking a compassionate and
creative Activities Assistant who is passionate about providing
engaging and therapeutic activities to enrich the lives of our
patients within underserved communities. This role requires an
individual with a flair for creating entertaining and educational
programs that promote holistic health and wellness outcomes. The
ideal candidate will support the daily operations of our activities
department by planning, coordinating, and executing a diverse range
of wellness and social activities catered to our patient's needs,
fostering an environment of care, respect, and inclusivity. Plan,
develop, and implement a variety of health-focused and social
activities. Work closely with healthcare professionals to tailor
activities that support patient treatment plans. Assist in
coordinating outings and events that are safe and suitable for
patients. Monitor, document, and report patient participation and
progress in activities. Support patients' emotional and social
development through direct interaction and engagement. Maintain
equipment and spaces used for activities, ensuring they are safe
and clean. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to
design and implement creative and engaging activities Basic
understanding of patient care and safety guidelines Proficiency in
documenting and maintaining accurate patient records Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.
