Job Description:

Good Samaritan Health Center seeks a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team. This role is pivotal in delivering recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance the lives of our patients within underserved communities. The Activities Assistant will work within our supportive environment, inspired by a commitment to holistic health and wellness outcomes, ensuring that all activities are aligned with our patients’ health goals. Plan, organize, and implement a range of therapeutic activities tailored to the needs and interests of patients Collaborate with healthcare providers to align activities with individual health plans Document patient participation and progress, providing feedback to healthcare professionals Assist in the training and supervision of volunteers and new staff Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines during activities Promote patient engagement through compassionate interaction and motivational encouragement Strong organizational and planning skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team Experience in handling sensitive information confidentially Proficiency in documenting and reporting Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k CPR and First Aid Certification preferred Any relevant certification in therapeutic activity planning or social care is a plus
