Job Description:
Good Samaritan Health Center seeks a compassionate and
enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team in the
Social Services department. This role is pivotal in enhancing the
holistic wellbeing of our patients through the planning and
execution of various social and recreational activities aimed at
underserved communities. The Activities Assistant helps organize,
schedule, and execute events that promote physical health, mental
engagement, and social interaction, contributing directly to the
center's mission of delivering comprehensive, community-focused
healthcare services. Plan, develop, and implement activity programs
that support patients’ health and wellness. Coordinate with
healthcare providers to tailor activities to the specific needs and
abilities of patients. Monitor and document patient participation
and progress. Organize and lead recreational and social group
events. Assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of activity
programs and suggest improvements. Maintain inventory of program
materials and supplies, ensuring resources are available for
activities. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during
activities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability
to plan and organize activities suited to varying levels of patient
ability and health conditions. Knowledge of basic health and safety
guidelines. Proficiency in documenting and tracking program
progress. Empathy and sensitivity towards the needs of marginalized
populations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k CPR/First Aid certification. Certified Nursing
Assistant (CNA) or related certifications are a plus.
