Job Description:

Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our renowned healthcare team. The successful candidate will handle the assessment, treatment, and care for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. Actively participating in patient care rounds and providing diagnostic testing, therapeutic, and preventive respiratory services under the direction of respiratory management and the physician is key. Assess patient health needs and develop respiratory care plans. Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity. Manage ventilators and artificial airway devices for patients who cannot breathe normally on their own. Respond to emergency situations and urgent issues involving respiratory distress. Educate patients and families on lung health, including smoking cessation if applicable. Regularly consult with physicians and healthcare team to modify patient care plans. Proficient in using respiratory care equipment Strong analytical and diagnosis skills Effective communication skills for explaining treatment protocols Ability to work in high-stress situations Compassionate patient care Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) CPR/Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent
