A specialized neonatal nursing opportunity is available in Mandan, ND, within a Level III NICU setting comprising 22 beds in an open concept unit. This contract role is suited for experienced RNs with strong skills in neonatal intensive care and the ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care for critically ill neonates, including those born as early as 23 weeks gestation with conditions such as respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), prematurity, hypoglycemia, and others. Manage complex interventions including titration of drips (antibiotics, surfactant, TPN, etc.). Attend deliveries under 36 weeks to assist with APGAR scoring alongside Neonatologists and Nurse Practitioners. Collaborate with healthcare teams within an open-bed NICU that emphasizes family-centered care. Float to the newborn nursery and pediatric units as needed. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 2 years NICU experience, with at least 2 years in Level III or IV neonatal intensive care. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Competence in drip titration and familiarity with equipment such as bubble CPAP and ventilators. Proven ability to work effectively in a high-acuity setting and maintain communication with multidisciplinary teams. Schedule and Location Details: Shifts: 12-hour rotations Day (7a-7p), Night (7p-7a), or rotating Day/Night schedules. Weekend coverage: Every other weekend or every third weekend. Holidays: Required to work two per year. Scrubs and orientationtwo unit-specific shiftsprovided. Floating to pediatric and newborn nursery during certain shifts. This position requires a profile review and manager interview. Radius requirement: Candidates must reside within 50 miles and must not be currently employed with or affiliated with certain regional healthcare systems.
