Registered Nurse (RN) | Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Location: Bismarck, ND Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,092 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Bismarck, North Dakota, 58501! ID: 76261048 Shift: 12H Nights EOW, nights, first to float Description: Unit : NICU RN*Certifications Required: BLS, NRP*PROFILE REVIEWMANAGER INTERVIEW- Level of III- of Beds22, open bed concept, intermediate or more critical on one side, RN station is in the center of unit for a fish bowl set up- , 4 for more feeder growers/ stable patients - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: RDS, SGA, prematurity, hypoglycemia, bilirubin, 23w, no surgical or g tube placement, intubated and bubble cpap, central lines, NICU RNs will attend deliveries under 36w, IUGR, C section etc, to assist with APGAR - Experience or 'Must have' skills:2 years of NICU, 2 years of level 3-4 experience are required, must be able to titrate drips.- Are RNs required to titrate drips?yes- Common titratable &/or set rate , multivitamin, iron, surfactant, TPN, epi- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? yes & they do take assignments, charge or staff to attend deliveries NICU RNs including charge, will attend deliveries under 36w to assist with APGAR - Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? no, unless busy- Neonatologist in house 24/7?Neonatologist during the day and NNP overnight coverage, NNP to attend deliveries and assist with APGARs- RT CPAP, vents- Tele/monitor techs on this unit? Most babies are not on tele- Are RNs required to read their own strips? Helpful, but not required.- Shifts & Scheduling: Days - 7a-7p, Nights 7p-7a, or D/N Rotate - manager to make schedule, open to blocked schedule based on unit need.- Weekend Requirement: EOW or Every 3rd Weekend.- Holiday Requirement:2 per year- Is there Call or a Standby requirement?n/a- Floating Requirements: will float to Newborn nursery (to take babies) and peds- assigned as appropriate, otherwise helping hands- Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided?Hospital provided scrubs - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?2 shifts- Additional really great providers in the NICU. Attributes that help make a nurse successful here include being an active learner, team player, good communication, being positive, genuine, engaged, and family centeredRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
