As a Med Aide, you will be instrumental in managing medication administration and support tasks, under the direction of nursing and medical staff, within our dynamic healthcare team. This role requires a compassionate approach and a commitment to the high-quality care we are known for. Administer prescribed medications to patients and maintain related medical records under supervision. Verify identity of patient receiving medication and record name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records. Communicate with medical staff about patient conditions and document all pertinent information. Clarify any order ambiguities with the medical staff and confirm patient prescriptions. Store drugs and medications in safe and secure places. Participate in educational sessions to stay updated with the latest healthcare practices and medications. Assist with patient rehabilitation and health assessments. Strong organizational and communication skills Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in dispensing medication Basic knowledge of pharmacology appropriate to the Med Aide scope of practice Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and show empathy Proficient in using medical software for record-keeping Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification required Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification recommended
