Job Description:

Good Samaritan Health Center seeks a compassionate and dedicated Med Aide to join our team. This role focuses on delivering high quality medical care services to our patients in underserved communities. By joining our community-based health center, you will be placed at the heart of holistic healthcare, innovatively supporting patients towards better health outcomes. Your primary role will entail administering medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the comfort and safety of all patients under your direct care. Ideal candidates will have a genuine passion for community health and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Administer prescribed medications to patients and monitor for any side effects Record patient vital signs and medication administration accurately in patient charts Assist with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, and feeding if needed Coordinate with healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care delivery Educate patients and their families on proper medication and healthcare protocols Maintain medication inventory and place orders as necessary Ensure all healthcare activities adhere to state laws and regulations Strong knowledge of medication types, uses, and administration Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail for accurate medication distribution and record-keeping Compassion and patience with a commitment to providing client-centered care Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medication Aide (CMA) credentials required CPR and First Aid certification preferred Further specialization credentials, such as in Geriatric Health or Mental Health, are beneficial
