Job Description:
Good Samaritan Health Center is searching for a dedicated and
caring Certified Medication Assistant to join our mission-focused
team dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services in
marginalized regions. This role is instrumental in managing
medication administration and education to improve patient health
outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with
healthcare providers to ensure that all medications are
administered safely according to physician orders and regulatory
guidelines. Administer daily prescribed medications to patients
under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical
Nurse. Ensure proper documentation of medication administration,
observe and report any adverse reactions. Maintain a clean and
organized medication cart and storage area to avoid contamination.
Educate and advise patients on medication-related needs,
complexities, and wellness strategies. Collaborate with healthcare
team to provide holistic care. Adhere strictly to all local, state,
and federal regulations regarding medication administration.
Proficiency in medication administration Excellent organizational
and documentation skills Strong interpersonal and communication
skills Capability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of
basic medical terminology and healthcare practices Medical

Valid Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) certification in the
