Job Description:
Good Samaritan Health Center is seeking a dedicated and
experienced Lead Medication Assistant, Certified (LMAC) for our
Long Term Care facility. In this vital role, you will be at the
forefront of our mission to provide compassionate, holistic
healthcare targeting underserved communities. As a central member
of our patient care team, you'll work to ensure optimal medication
management and administration aligned with physician orders and
healthcare guidelines, while leading a team of medication aides.
This role is pivotal in enhancing patient wellness and recovery,
contributing to the holistic health outcomes we strive for.
Supervise and train medication aides in the administration and
documentation of prescribed medications to patients. Coordinate
with healthcare providers to verify prescriptions, clarify dosages,
and ensure medication administration records are accurate and
up-to-date. Conduct regular audits of medication processes to
ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Manage
patient care plans relating to medication management, collaborate
with multidisciplinary teams to adjust as necessary. Maintain
inventory of medications and medical supplies, ensuring
availability and safe storage. Provide compassionate care to
patients, understanding the particular needs of those in
underserved communities. Proficient in medication administration
and healthcare compliance Strong leadership and training abilities
Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work
collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification
as a Medication Assistant (CMA) required. Additional certifications
in healthcare or management preferred.
