Job Description:
Good Samaritan Health Center invites applications for the
position of Lead Medication Assistant, Certified, in our Long Term
Care department. This pivotal role supports our mission by ensuring
the highest level of medication management and care for our
community's most vulnerable populations. The ideal candidate will
bring a blend of compassion, expertise, and diligence to the
oversight and administration of medication, guided by our
commitment to holistic health and wellness outcomes. Supervise and
train medication assistant staff in the accurate dispensing and
documentation of patient medications. Coordinate with healthcare
providers to ensure optimal medication therapy plans for residents.
Monitor and adjust medication plans based on patient health changes
and provider consultations. Ensure compliance with all federal,
state, and local regulations regarding medication administration in
a long-term care setting. Manage medication inventory and
procurement to maintain adequate supply and ensure timely
availability of necessary medications. Provide empathetic and
effective communication with residents, families, and health care
team members about medication-related needs and concerns. Strong
knowledge of pharmacology and medication administration
regulations. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with
multiple stakeholders. Proficiency in electronic health record
systems and medication management software. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified
Medication Assistant (CMA) credentials mandatory. Additional
certifications in healthcare or related field preferred.
