Mindlance Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Bismarck,
North Dakota, 58501! ID: 75129122 Shift: 12H Days EOW, Days, First
to Float Description: Unit : LDRP RN*Certifications Required: BLS,
NRP, AWHONN intermediate (advanced preferred), STABLE*PROFILE
REVIEWMANAGER INTERVIEWMust have EPIC experience*Must have 3 years
of experience in LDRP of L&D Beds: 7 L&D- of Postpartum
beds: 12 Postpartum, 8 Surgical- of OR Suites on the unit for
C-Sections: 1 C-Section dedicated OR, 2 GYN surgical OR- of Triage
beds: 3 bay triage (avg 17 patients/ month) allow travelers to
triage based on experience - of Births per day? Month? Year?:
Annually 643- Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? L&D:
1:1-2, Postpartum: 1:2-3 couplets, 1:3-4 surgical/medical- Common
diagnoses/Types of patients: Obstetric, L&D, antepartum,
triage, postpartum MgSo4, pre E Pregnancy, accept 23 weeks;
Gestational hypertension, Gestational diabetes, No cardiac
intervention- they will take occasional higher risk patients, Post
partum vaginal and c-section deliveries, hysterectomy, bladder
repairs, mastectomies- Experience or 'Must have' skills: 3yrs
experience, OK with first time travelers, do expect them to jump
right in, must be able to titrate drips- Are RNs required to
titrate drips?: Yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips:
pitocin, mag, occasional Insulin drips- Commonly seen other
medications: procardia, labetolol push, TXA- hemorrhage,
methergine, hemabate, cytotec, cervidil- Is there a Charge Nurse on
each shift?: Yes- Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge
nurse will take an assignment and goes to deliveries to do APGARS -
Travelers would not be charge- Are there nurse aids/surgical techs
on this unit? Duties?: 1 OB scrub tech scheduled M-F on Days, will
also have a unit clerk and occasional nurse techs that are nursing
students- Do RNs scrub? Yes, prefer if they are able to scrub-
OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7?: OB On call 24/7, Neo on call 24/7
NNP here overnight- Anesthesia in house 24/7?: In house 24/7- RT
Equipment? Are RNs required to do anything with these besides
trouble shoot?: supplemental oxygen PRN- Are there Tele/Monitor
Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What
brand are the tele monitors?: Remote tele capable unit- infrequent
tele patient, (if remote tele they will have a monitor tech)-
should be able to place patches in correct places. RN would be
expected to read tele in Phase 1 recovery for c-section only (not a
hard stop).- EFM System: GE/Corometrics 8 of the 129 & 5 of the 259
CA-X series & 2 of older 128 series (No material ECG)- Shifts &
Scheduling: Rotational 7a-7p, 7p-7a, done 6 weeks in advance,
cognizant of sleep schedules. Manager to make the schedule, will
work with block scheduling.- Weekend Requirements: every third-
Holiday Requirements: as needed- Is there a call or standby
requirement?: n/a, optional overtime opportunities- Floating
Requirements: Peds MS, NICU- feeder-growers or could float to
med/surg, PCU, ICU, ED, Psych units as 1:1 sitter or helping hands-
Scrub Color/Dress code: surgical scrubs provided- How many shifts
of unit/department specific orientation?: 2x12hr shifts on the
unit- Additional QuestionsHigh patient satisfaction in
departmentRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full
time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with
CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or
less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be
