Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Operating Room Location: Bismarck, ND Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,866 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified CVOR RN in Bismarck, North Dakota, 58501! ID: 72768953 Shift: 8H Days 645-1515 M-F. CV RNs make their own call schedule as a group. Description: Unit : CVOR RN*Certifications Required: BLS*PROFILE REVIEWMANAGER INTERVIEWMinimum 3 years CVOR experience. Call is 1-2 weekdays (1515-0645) and every 2-3 weekends (Fri 1515- Mon 0645) Primarily 8 hour shifts Mon-Fri 0645-1515 Must be willing to work all above listed shifts and holidays. Must work in one other specialty when CV volume is low. Will be offered to float to the floor for 1:1 sitter or helping hands if OR volumes are low.- of Suites: 2 CVOR suites- Average of cases per day: 1-3 depending on the case as we do all thoracic and vascular cases as part of CV too- Common hearts (CABG, Valve, aneuryms) thoracotomies, VATS, Convergent, AAA, carotids, ION robotic cases, ECMO, Impella 5.5, Stryker towers- Experience or 'Must have' BE WILLING to cross train into general OR if CV volumes are low, 3 years of CVOR experience Open Hearts, CABG, Valves, - Is scrubbing required for RNs?: No- Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift?: Charge Nurse for all shifts 7a-11p M-F, weekends 7a-7p, manager until 4p M-F- OR techs?: Yes- EMR: EPIC- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0645-1515 M-F. CV RNs make their own call schedule as a group.- Weeknight/Call Requirements: 1-2 times per week 1515-0645- Weekend/Call Requirements: every 3-4 weeks Fri 1515-Mon 0645- Holiday/Call Requirements: Rotating holidays- must be willing to work holidays- What is call response time?15 minutes, 8 hour reprieve shifts for post call, sleep room available - housing should also be available nearby to make call- Floating Requirements: MUST BE WILLING to cross train into other specialties if CV volumes are low. Staff must be willing to float to the floor as \"helping hands\" or 1:1 sitter; they do not take patients but help with whatever the floors need at the time; we do this to supplement hours if we have a low case volume. If refused- considered supplimental time off, not getting paid- RDO day)- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 3-4 days hospital clinical orientation, EPIC class and unit orientation/modules; 4-5 days unit based orientation; 2 buddy call shifts, flexible orientation based on recent heart experience Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
