An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room to provide comprehensive perioperative care in a Level 2 Trauma Center setting. The role focuses on circulating nursing duties under the guidance of Surgical Services leadership, ensuring patient safety from pre-op through post-op phases, in alignment with established AORN standards and recommended practices. Responsibilities: Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures, monitoring patient status and safety Perform assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout surgical interventions Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to maintain asepsis and infection control protocols Respond appropriately to intraoperative changes and emergencies Support adherence to institutional policies and regulatory standards Qualifications and Experience: Current RN license in North Dakota or compact RN licensure accepted BLS certification required within the orientation period CNOR certification preferred but not mandatory for this circulator RN role Minimum of two years of experience in the specialty preferred Experience in Level 2 trauma settings is advantageous Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records Prior travel nursing experience preferred Ability to work efficiently and make sound clinical judgments Strong teamwork and communication skills in a dynamic surgical environment Schedule: Varied shifts including 0545-1415, 0600-1430, 0830-1700, and 1300-2130 Call requirement of one day per week plus some weekends on a six-week rotation Contract Details: 13-week assignment Located within a 50-mile radius of Surrey, ND About Surrey, ND: Surrey offers a serene setting with a close-knit community atmosphere.
