Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Bismarck, North Dakota. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - PCU Stepdown /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM /n• Every other weekend requirement /n• Every other holiday requirement /n• Nurse to patient ratios of 1:4-5, occasionally 1:5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow 1:3 /n• Must have PCU experience and ability to read cardiac strips /n• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS /n• Care for adults and geriatrics including cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, COVID BiPap patients, general surgical with heart history, medical patients with cardiac history, pneumonia, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, and sepsis /n• Required to titrate drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low dose Dopamine /n• Float to all areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load, medical/surgical for full patient assignment, and some ER holds/boarding /n• Any color scrubs permitted /n• 2 twelve-hour shifts of department-specific orientation (Friday and Saturday of first week) /n• Work with BiPap, trachs, airvo and other respiratory equipment /n• Read and interpret own cardiac strips /n• Work with tele portable monitors and in-room monitors /n• Epic charting system experience preferred /n• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract or 3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks /n/n Facility: /n This medical center operates a 32-bed progressive care unit specializing in telemetry and cardiac care. The facility maintains a Level 2 trauma designation and provides comprehensive acute care services.
