Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with at least 2 years of
med/surg experience for a night shift float pool position requiring
an active ND or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities - Work in a hospital acute care setting within the
Med/Surg Float Pool - Patient population includes surgical (total
joints, fractures, bariatric, urology, general) and medical cases
such as CHF, CVA, respiratory, and diabetic conditions - Unit has
61 combined beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 on days and
1:6 on nights - 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and
holiday required - Floating is required within med/surg departments
- Use of Epic charting system - CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow
equipment used - Telemonitoring present; monitor techs read strips
with RN confirmation - Responsibilities include caring for a mix of
medical and surgical patients in a float pool environment - Dress
code allows any scrub color - Orientation includes both general
travel onboarding and unit-specific float checklist - Support
provided by nurse aides, with ratios up to 1:15 - Every other
holiday must be worked as assigned - Candidates may not have been
employed directly by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility
within the past year - First-time travelers will be considered
Requirements - Active ND or compact (NLC) RN license required at
time of consideration - Minimum 2 years of recent med/surg
experience required - Current BLS certification required -
Experience in acute hospital med/surg setting matching unit
expectations - Ability to confirm telemonitoring strips - Must
provide two professional references: one supervisor from within the
last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3
years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility - Copy of
