Job Title: LTC/SNF RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Long Term Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights EOW Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Long term care experience Description: This position is for a nurse in a long-term care facility. The facility has a total of 26 beds for residents. The nurse will act as charge and will be responsible for passing medications and performing wound care. Common diagnoses among patients include heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:10 during the day shift and 1:19 during the night shift. There is no clinical involvement or IV and titratable drip administration required. Monitoring of patients does not include telemetry, and registered nurses do not read strips. There is no requirement for attending team conferences for acute inpatient rehabilitation. There are no supervisory roles on this unit. Physician availability after hours is provided by phone on-call. An interdisciplinary team is not present, as the focus is solely on long-term care. Physical therapy services are available as needed, and a social worker serves as a designee. Respiratory therapy is not on-site 24/7. Oxygen therapy through concentrators and portable concentrators is available. The pharmacy is off-site with a medication dispensing system in place. There are no blocked schedules and self-scheduling is not permitted. Weekend requirements include every other weekend. Holiday requirements include working every other major holiday. There are no on-call or standby requirements for this position. Floating requirements are not applicable. Professionals must maintain a clean and presentable appearance. Unit-specific orientation will be conducted for new hires. Candidates within a 50-mile radius are preferred. Time off requests must be provided upfront. Additional time off will not be approved after submissions.
