qualified PCU RN in Bismarck, North Dakota, 58501! Pay Information

required. Must have PCU experience. Nurse to patient ratios are
1:4-5, with occasional 5-6 on nights. PCU level care overflow on
the unit is 1:3. Common diagnoses include adults and geriatrics,
cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, COVID Bipap, occasional
general surgical with heart history, medical patients with cardiac
history, pneumonia, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, and
sepsis. Experience as a Tele/cardiac RN is preferred. Epic
experience is preferred but first-time travelers are welcome. RNs
are required to titrate drips. Common titratable and/or set rate
drips include Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and
low dose Dopamine. No Levo is used on this unit. There is a charge
nurse on each shift who occasionally takes a light load of 2-3
patients. Nurse aides/patient care techs are available on this unit
with a goal of 1:10 ratios. RNs will interact with RT equipment,
including Bipap, trachs, and airvo, but only troubleshoot these
devices. RNs are required to read and interpret their own telemetry
strips. Shift and scheduling include 7a-7p and 7p-7a. If rotating
shifts occur, they will not exceed once a week. The manager creates
the schedule and will consider blocked schedules based on unit
needs. Weekend requirements are every other weekend. Holiday
requirements are every other holiday. There is no call or standby
requirement. Floating may be required to all areas as helping
hands, including full patient loads in PCU, with some ER
holds/boarding. Scrub color is any color scrubs. Shifts of
unit/department specific orientation are provided during the first
week. Additional notes: this is primarily a tele/cardiac unit.
Radius rule applies: candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or
PRN with any associated facilities. RTO is needed upfront (7 or
fewer days per contract). Additional RTO will not be approved after
submission. Cancellation policy allows for 4 shifts per contract
and 3 shifts if the contract is under 13 weeks. Charting system
used is Epic. BSN is not required. Trauma level is 2. Care setting
is acute. Division is nursing. Shift notes indicate every other
