Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team. The Radiology Tech will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This role involves operating radiographic equipment, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality images for accurate medical evaluations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures, including X-rays, to capture images of various body parts such as the chest, abdomen, bones, and soft tissues. Position patients correctly for imaging procedures, ensuring the appropriate area of the body is captured while maintaining their safety and comfort. Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning properly. Ensure patient safety by following proper protocols for radiation safety, including shielding and minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff. Review images for clarity and quality, adjusting technique and positioning as necessary to achieve optimal results. Explain the radiographic procedures to patients, answer questions, and provide reassurance before and during the imaging process. Assist in the preparation and positioning of patients, including transferring patients when necessary, and ensure proper draping for privacy. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedure details, and noting any relevant information such as contrast media usage or special instructions. Administer contrast media (oral or intravenous) as directed by the physician to enhance images for specific diagnostic purposes. Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging that meets clinical needs. Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a sterile and safe environment in the imaging department. Maintain and clean radiology equipment, report any malfunctioning equipment, and assist in arranging for repairs or maintenance. Follow all hospital and departmental policies regarding patient confidentiality and safety (HIPAA regulations). Participate in continuing education to stay current on the latest radiology technologies, techniques, and safety practices.
