Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join our imaging team. The CT Tech will be responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency in operating CT scanning equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and working collaboratively with healthcare providers to obtain high-quality images for accurate medical assessments. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain CT scanning equipment to obtain clear and accurate images of patients' internal structures, including the brain, chest, abdomen, and extremities. Prepare patients for CT procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety. Position patients correctly for scans, ensuring the appropriate area of the body is captured, and adjusting equipment as necessary. Administer contrast media (oral or intravenous) to enhance images, following proper protocols and ensuring patient safety during the procedure. Monitor patient vitals and condition during CT scans to detect any adverse reactions to contrast media or changes in health status. Maintain a sterile and safe environment during procedures, adhering to infection control standards and radiation safety protocols. Ensure the CT scanner and related equipment are functioning properly by conducting routine checks, troubleshooting issues, and reporting maintenance needs. Work with physicians and radiologists to ensure images meet diagnostic requirements and provide any additional views or scans as directed. Review images for quality and clarity, ensuring they are free of artifacts and suitable for diagnostic purposes. Adjust scanning parameters as needed. Document patient information, procedure details, and any reactions to contrast or other substances, maintaining accurate medical records. Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring minimal radiation exposure to patients and staff by following ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles. Educate patients on the procedure, provide instructions for post-scan care, and address any concerns or questions they may have. Stay updated with the latest advancements in CT imaging techniques and radiation safety practices.
