Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: CT Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Variable Shifts Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Experience preferred License: Licensed in the State of North Dakota Certifications: Current CPR certification, ARRT Board Certified in CT Must-Have: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program Description: Performs diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scan images. Produces quality computed tomography exam images and exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Provides patient care and initiates life support measures as necessary. Interacts effectively with patients, physicians, family members, department staff, and healthcare workers. Possesses the skills and knowledge to operate CT equipment to produce quality CT scans as well as the ability to perform related procedures and protocols. Has the ability to learn and utilize new technology. Possesses the ability to professionally obtain information from patients or their responsible parties to further improve their personalized treatment and care. Develops an understanding of the patient’s physical and emotional status. Works well with all age groups. May expand job responsibilities based on the needs of the facility, including on-call rotation, nights, weekends, and holidays. Performs CT-related tasks and is aware of general CT protocols. Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center and Stroke Center is preferred. Imaging hospital and clinic patients with required post-processing of images. Assigned shifts include weekends with call responsibilities. Knowledge of CT scanners, cross-sectional anatomy and physiology, and 3D post-processing for various specialties. Knowledge of various post-processing techniques is essential. Weekend call may be required as needed. Monday through Friday with varying day and evening shifts as assigned. May have occasional call coverage as assigned. No floating to other units or departments is required. The department has a 200-bed capacity. Training and orientation program consists of a two-week process.
