  • Med Surg 3CC RN position available
  • 13-week contract
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients include total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology procedure, abdominal surgery (lap appy, bowel resection), bariatrics, medical overflow
  • Charge Nurse on both shifts, may take a low acuity assignment at night
  • Nurse aids/patient care techs on the unit
  • Floating Requirements: Float to medical and telemetry
  • Bedside shift report is an expectation
    • Job Requirements
    • Prefer to have surgical experience, post-op, early ambulation experience
    • Ok with first-time travelers
    • Are RNs required to titrate drips? No
    • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Occasional heparin drip, PCA pump, TPN
    • RN does not read their own strips
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 0700-1930, 1900-0730
      • Manager to make schedule
      • 7-7 rotation will not occur more than weekly
      • Will consider block scheduling if unit needs are met
      • Weekend Requirement: every other
        • Unit Specific Information
        • # of Beds: 30
        • Nurse:Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4-5, Nights: 1:5-6
        • Common traits of unit: Total joint replacements, spinal surgery, medical overflow regularly encountered
          • Additional Details
          • Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available if unit needs are met
          • Close-knit and good culture on the unit
          • Department: MedSurg 3CC RN
          • Radius Rule: 50 miles, exclusions apply to candidates with current associations with CommonSpirit
          • RTO needed upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions
