For more information, please visit ResponsibilitiesTo support our Customer Solutions team, we are seeking a Senior Manager Customer Programs to lead, manage, and contribute to business development opportunities such as proposals, as well as program design and implementation, and Go-To market strategy across our markets. Programs may include distributed energy programming such as energy efficiency, demand response, beneficial electrification, PV and battery storage among others across a broad range of sectors in North America, and potentially beyond. As the Senior Manager Customer Programs you will contribute to building strong relationships with clients and manage and mentor program design and delivery staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on business development and go to market initiatives related to program design and implementation across our markets.
  • Develop and assess program concepts and designs, program launch and implementation strategies
  • Lead program planning including business case development, budgeting and resource planning, go to market, ramp up to launch and ongoing implementation strategy
  • Lead program delivery start-up phase to launch and transition strategy to local teams, as required, including management of budget, staff and subconsultants, program measures and incentive levels, quality assurance/quality control, and customer and trade ally engagement strategies, monitoring, tracking and reporting on targets and other key performance indicators within a continuous improvement approach, to ensure program targets can be met with high level of customer and client satisfaction
  • Lead market and measure characterizations, participant uptake forecasts, development of measure and services incentives, and cost-effectiveness testing
  • Collaborate and manage deliverables across matrixed business units including marketing, technology, customer care and others as well as with external partners
  • Lead multi-million-dollar engagements including contract development and negotiations with clients and external partners as project manager and lead interface with client Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering AND 10+ years of experience in business development, including proposal development, customer program design and delivery of successful customer programs
    • Experience in developing business cases for customer programs as well as assisting program participants in developing business cases for projects
    • Extensive knowledge of, and experience working in the energy sector
    • Knowledge of energy regulatory frameworks
    • Experience with energy efficiency and other distributed energy resource programs (e.g., EV, beneficial electrification, demand response, battery storage) in a range of sectors (e.g., residential, commercial, multi-residential, institutional, low-income)
    • Well-developed expertise in market and measure characterization and participant uptake forecasts
    • Understanding and experience in applying cost-effectiveness testing to programs
    • Excellent project management and leadership skills
    • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
    • Experience with customer and trade ally engagement
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
    • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
    • Ability to travel

    • Master's degree in engineering degree AND 8+ years of experience in business development, including proposal development, customer program design and delivery of successful customer programs
    • CMVP, CET or related designation
    • Knowledge and experience in customer programming across more than one jurisdiction
    • Experience managing turnkey customer programs
    • Experience with DER approvals within energy regulatory frameworks
    • Knowledge of utility rate-setting and cost of service
    • Familiarity with baseline and achievable potential studies Additional Requirements

      • The salary range for this role is $105,000 USD to $189,000 USD, may vary depending on degree, direct work experience and location.
