A successful candidate will work analytically and collaboratively with the WWRACE teams to meet the development needs of our stakeholders.This high energy director will lead a team of instructional designers, learner experience designers, learning content architects and project managers who are responsible to support many of VMware--------s largest enablement events, ongoing strategic programs, sales enablement and soft skills training as part of the Curriculum & Certification team.-- -Responsibilities & ScopeResponsible for design and development of multiple learning modalities and output to enable our employees and partnersLead initiatives that cross lines of business and multiple stakeholdersWork with enterprise business partners and partner stakeholders to understand enablement needs, build roadmaps, manage capacity, determine project timelines, release schedules, and communicate status.Elevate modular content development processes to reduce time to market and increase operational efficiencies in an agile environmentManage a global team of 35+ employee and contractor content development personnel to ensure they are motivated and ready to meet the changing demands of both the on premise and SaaS businessDevelop and implement scalable, automated publications processes for all learning assetsInnovate to ensure content is securely delivered on multiple devices and for offline accessManage infrastructure setup & operational processes for content management, storage, and reuse.Guide a video enablement team that creates, edits, deploys and manages 100--------s of videos per quarterFormulate learning strategies and develop scalable and industry leading digital and instructor-led learning solutionsHandle content or stakeholder content escalationsManage budgets both strategically and operationallySet priorities with measurable objectives in alignment with business needs.Monitor and report quarterly on team performance to executive staffAbility to inspire higher team performance, work across boundaries, and take on additional cross-functional responsibilitiesManage vendor relationshipsQualifications:Strong understanding of the content development processStrong knowledge and experience with content development frameworksProject management skills: Delivers quality work that meets or exceeds VMware--------s standard of excellenceTime management skills: Focuses on project tasks, deliverables, and deadlines. Budgets time for efficient task completion.
