If you have the talent and the desire to work on a variety of consulting projects while serving our customer seamlessly, see how you fit at Applied!Job SummaryThe Hydraulics Engineer role is responsible for creating and maintaining engineered designs or hydraulics in order to keep equipment competitive in function, manufacturability, and marketability. This position will lead or support technical activity for hydraulic systems and component development projects and create, modify, analyze, and maintain the engineering design of assigned products, systems, and components. The Hydraulics Engineer will be aware of trends and developments in product design from vendor contacts, workshops and meetings, industry and contacts and will determine and apply new techniques, materials, and procedures beneficial to assigned product designs. The engineer will work with departmental functions (services, production, tooling, marketing, dealers, etc.) in the completion of assigned projects, participate and assist in the planning of product specifications, timelines, resource requirements, and prepare and participate in product engineering presentations to vendors, customers, and other departments. The Hydraulics Engineer will also direct and analyze the results of tests on prototype and production machines.Qualifications And Skills* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering* 0-5 years product design experience* CAD Experience, preferably Creo* Experience designing/supporting hydraulic systems required* Experience designing hydraulic systems for mobile machinery preferred* Ability to work independently/self-directed and as a member of a team* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills* Strong work ethic and integrity* Desire to work on a variety of projectsBenefits and PerksApplied Engineering is a 100% employee-owned engineering and technology consulting company that is dedicated to providing exceptional talent and technology with offices throughout the Midwest.
