Public Address and Gameday Presentation role is the "voice" of the
ballpark. This position is responsible for delivering clear,
engaging, and professional announcements while managing the flow of
the game-day script. You will work closely with the entertainment
and production teams to execute sponsorship activations, player
introductions, and in-game entertainment that enhances the fan
experience. Roles and Responsibilities Voice & Performance PA
Announcing: Serve as the primary announcer for all home games and
special events, maintaining a high level of energy and professional
vocal tone. Script Execution: Accurately read and timing-sensitive
scripts for starting lineups, player substitutions, and general
stadium information. Sponsorship Activation: Execute live reads for
sponsors, ensuring all brand requirements and promotional cues are
met with enthusiasm. Vocal Health: Manage vocal rest days by
cross-training on the videoboard or music production equipment.
Gameday Production & Planning Script Writing: Assist in the
development and editing of gameday scripts and timing sheets. Guest
Coordination: Schedule and prep game-day guests, including National
Anthem singers, first-pitch participants, and "Play Ball" kids.
Technical Setup: Prep the press box by updating stats computers,
soundboards, and videoboard graphics before gates open. Asset
Management: Upload and organize new music, sound effects, and
motion graphics into the stadium’s production systems. Community &
Team Engagement Mascot & Player Appearances: Represent the
organization at community events and assist with mascot logistics.
Collaboration: Attend weekly entertainment meetings to brainstorm
new on-field games, skits, and theme night elements. Venue
Readiness: Assist with ballpark set-up/tear-down and ensure the
cleanliness of fan interaction zones. Other Duties as Assigned:
Contribute to the overall success of the organization in any
capacity needed. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Communication:
Exceptional verbal communication with the ability to remain calm
and charismatic under the pressure of a live audience. Technical
Proficiency: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro,
Photoshop, Audition) and gameday software like DakStats is
preferred. Adaptability: Ability to "think on your feet" and
improvise during technical delays or unscripted game moments.
Schedule: Flexibility to work long hours, including evenings,
weekends, and holidays during the season. Education: Background in
Sport Management, Mass Communication, Theater Arts, or a related
