NDHFA offers affordable home financing to low- to moderate-income families and helps to ensure the continued availability of suitable rental housing for households of modest means while focusing on the overall housing needs of urban and rural communities across that state.As an Administrative Services Specialist you will make a difference every day while working in an environment that values service to current and future clients, teamwork with internal and external partners, integrity to treat those we serve with dignity and respect, and compassion as we genuinely care about our clients, co-workers, and partners in housing.Monthly Hiring Range $2,787-$3,344Summary of WorkAs an Administrative Service Specialist, you will be part of the two-person team representing NDHFA as the first point of contact for our mortgage borrowers and housing partners whether in person or on the telephone.Duties will include:* Assist walk-in clients.* Answer main telephone line.* Respond to general inquiries regarding agency programs.* Refer customers and telephone calls to appropriate agency personnel.* Open and distribute agency mail.* Record mortgage loan payments and other agency receipts within agency's cash receipt system.* Process agency's daily deposit.* Provide data entry support to agency's accounting department.* Assist agency staff with travel arrangements.* Prepare mailings.* General office duties.* Assist agency departments with special projects.Minimum Qualifications* Associate degree with major coursework in office support or business or office education; AND* Two years' experience performing a variety of complex office support, clerical, or secretarial work.* Additional work experience as described may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.* Successful completion of the interview process, reference checks and background check.Preferred QualificationsExperience with:* Customer Service* Data entry* Preparing bank deposits* Strong verbal and written communications skills* Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office software* Ability to work in a high paced environmentApplication ProceduresApply online through the State of ND Careers site: Paper submissions will not be accepted.
