Description The Mortgage Sales Strategy Team at Citizens Bank is responsible for advising senior leadership via analytic insights, directly influencing the day-to-day and long term strategy of the Retail and Wholesales Sales teams. This team will be critical in the continued evolution of the business, aiding in its growth as one of the largest mortgage originations businesses among regional banks in the entire country. A critical component of this team is the business analysts who drive and distill these insights. A Senior Business Analyst on the Mortgage Sales Strategy Team will possess the strategic and analytical skills to help guide the evolution of the mortgage business. The ideal candidate must show autonomy and clear ownership of strategic initiatives, executing projects and performing complex analyses where they perform independent root-cause analysis in order to drive actionable business recommendations. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with the Head of Analytics and Strategy, other analysts on the broader strategy team, senior mortgage leadership, and a multitude of business partner groups including Sales, Operations, Capital Markets, Risk Management, Audit, Technology, Finance, Compensation, and Fullfillment. Primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): + Show clear business ownership for strategic initiatives, managing all aspects of the analysis and project management in order to drive implementation and continued monitoring of strategic initiatives. + Execute projects, analyses, and reports across a geographically dispersed team under direction of senior leadership while collaborating with multiple potential stakeholders, including but not limited to: Sales, Fulfillment, Capital Markets, Risk Management, Audit, Technology, and Finance partners. + Prepare in-depth analysis of complex issues and present findings and recommendations to Mortgage leadership. Responsibilities will go beyond simply collecting data. A successful candidate will independently develop insights and drive actions from the analysis. Problem solving should be based on quantitative analytics, with an ability to analyze large and complex datasets and perform root cause analysis. + Must show autonomy, with clear judgment around appropriate escalation to senior management. Will need to be able to balance a strong results focus with a high quality bar and attention to detail. Given the role is on a strategy team, should be able to independently develop and execute an agenda in a fluid environment where prioritization can change rapidly. + Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Qualifications Required: + At least 2 years experience in analysis in a corporate setting + Ability to synthesize complex data sets and concisely deliver insights that identify root causes and outline possible solutions + Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities + Strong proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint + Strong proficiency in database cleanup, validation and dataset generation + Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional manner + Work with minimal supervision in a fast paced, ever evolving environment where deadlines and prioritization can change rapidly + Experience developing dashboards in PowerBI / Tableau or similar data visualization tools + Experience working with database analysis and querying tools, such as SAS, SQL Server Management Studio, PowerPivot, etc. Preferred: + Masters degree in Business or quantitative field + Strong familiarity with the mortgage origination process, with experience working in home lending or risk management + 4+ years of experience in statistical modeling, complex analysis + Experience with scripting languages for automation and database validation / dataset generation Education: + Bachelor's degree in any quantitative field, such as accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Physical Sciences, Engineering Hours and Work Schedule Hours per Week: 40 Work Schedule: Monday-Friday #LI-RemoteSome job boards have started using jobseeker-reported data to estimate salary ranges for roles.
